We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor to join our Concrete Department. The successful candidate will be able to help oversee and coordinate the hands-on activities on construction job sites and shall be organized, attentive to details, solutions-oriented, and driven to satisfy client and project needs. Our core values empower our employees to develop their skills and careers.Why Duron?Strong reputation across the entire construction sectorA competitive base salaryCompany vehicle and Benefits (upon completion of a 3-month probation period)Dynamic work cultureExciting growth opportunitiesResponsibilities:Accomplish project goals by defining a scope and purpose of the project, determining required resources, allocating resources, establishing protocols and standards and scheduling staffHandle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures, prepare and file accident reportsHelp establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinating work activities within the department, subcontractors, supervisors, managersAttend site visits and meetings to fully understand the scope of the projectConduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipmentAssist in preparing schedules, work progress, production and other reportsSupervise and evaluate staff, while completing employee reviews; keep accurate records of employee attendance and timesheets; provide positive direction to motivate quality performanceManage project change orders; from pricing to processing & planning the workflow, and assessing cost and schedule impactPerform quality assurance and control activities, such as site reviews and ensure adherence to contract requirementAdminister project closeout; from documents archiving to maintenance/ warranty manuals, etc.Follow Duron Health and Safety Policy and ProcedureFollow COR Guidelines and industry best practices for a safe workplaceOther duties as requiredRequirements:A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experienceRecent graduates are encouraged to applyAn ability to supervise, coordinate, collaborate, and lead a teamProficient in reading and understanding of construction documents (Specifications, Contractual Documents, Construction Drawings)Excellent Microsoft Outlook, MS Word and Excel skillsSense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectivesAttention to detail and exceptional organization skillsAbility to work well with shifting priorities and change in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
