Matchtech are supporting the recruitment for a Safety VP to work with a key client in Toronto. Do you have the following key skills? Proven leadership skills - the ability to influence others outside of the team to deliver assurance and improvementsBig picture strategic thinker, able to switch between tactical and strategic agendas.Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate large organisations with different interests and promote collaborative working.An empathetic candidate with high emotional intelligence, vitality, energy, and ability to create velocity inleading cultural change.Exceptional influencing skills and ability to act as a role model and play a wider role in the context of CPGs executive forum.Do you have the below skills? 20+ years of experience in one of the following: program and project management, project controls, engineering, technology, technical advisory, property, design etc.At least three years of industry-related experience, including five years in upper management requiredDegree qualified or similar, ideally in Health and Safety or Engineering is mandatory. Further educational qualification or professional membership is desired.Chartership with safety related industry related body such as IOSH or the IIRSMEstablished track record of driving operational safety improvements in regulated safety-critical and process-led businesses.Managing teams of over 15 people, with a track-record of driving performance and evolving mindsetPrevious experience of supporting businesses moving from a tactical/procedural safety context to the desired leadership based on modern behavioural-led safety strategy.Acting as a link between health, safety, environment, and performance and using behavioural change to address underlying performance issues.Able to work cross-functionally and act as a focus point of the broader team, responsible for the overall performance, not just safety.Has an established external safety network beyond transport / electrical industries and including HSE.Significant experience in the industry, having successfully led teams through strategic business objectives (i.e. organizational change management, growth & geographic expansion, etc.)Demonstrated expertise in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique and coordination of people and resourcesProven ability in building cohesive teams and facilitating goal accomplishments by aligning individual and team actions with strategies and plans to drive business resultsOpen to discussing further..?
