Job Title

Beaver Dam Nursery, located in the rural district of Okotoks, AB (T1S 1A7), is a 40 acre plant nursery with 10 greenhouses on site that specializes in shrubs, trees, perennials and annual plants. We are looking for full-time (44 hours per week) seasonal greenhouse workers to start asap to assist with the following duties: clean greenhouses, weeding, mix and prepare soils, apply fertilizers, dig up wrapping root balls of trees and shrubs, water and tend to plants, pot and re-pot plants, plant bulbs and seeds, assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants, harvest seedlings, clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Machinery required to use includes irrigation pumps and mechanical sprayer. This is a physical demanding position that includes a lot of standing for extending periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling and the ability to lift heavy items up to 23 kg. No minimum English language ability or formal education is required. Some experience in the industry is an asset. Hourly wage is 17.98 p/h.
