Canadian Benefits Consulting Group is hiring a Group Benefits Consultant. If you are a positive and results-driven individual who excels at providing superior technical support, we invite you to join our team. You will have a proven track record of providing technical expertise regarding Group Benefits plans. As a Benefits Consultant, your focus will be to analyze group insurance contracts and renewals, with an emphasis on disability benefits, from a technical perspective, to clients within the Union / Trustee environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan document and claims data analysis to create customized reports for clients and prospects Renewal analysis and report preparation, including suggestions and costing of plan changes Negotiate with benefit providers While working with the Director, Underwriting, understand the complexities of Union Trust group benefits. Preparation of specifications, responding to the markets queries, summarization, and comparison of all quotes received. Review refund accounting financial reconciliations provided by benefit providers. Conduct plan benchmarking, assist with recommendations for improvements in plan design, and help to identify any area of potential risk for the clientREQUIREMENTS: Experience in Group Benefits., with an emphasis on disabilityRobust understanding of various underwriting and funding arrangementsExcellent numerical and analytical skills Extensive experience and expertise in supporting Union Trust arrangementsProven client development and relationship management experience in the benefits space Ability to learn various underwriting methods and their technical aspects.Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills required to affect change and to build effective working relationships Solid knowledge and understanding of how products and servicesimpact customer needs Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
