Your role will be to provide estimation expertise on numerous projects that are currently underway, in addition to new projects being added in the future. Projects are Multi-Family Residential, up to 25 storey's usually, throughout Western Quebec, Northern Quebec and Eastern Ontario.You will participate in the preparation and monitoring of estimates, classify plans, specifications, and addenda in PlanSwift. You will conduct follow-ups with subcontractors via phone and email and maintain a log of communications in General Estimator software. As well, you will perform analysis of submissions.Additionally, you will review plans and specifications to assess scope, take quantity readings in PlanSwift and record data in General Estimator and analyze bids from subcontractors for compliance and address any discrepancies.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this important role, you must be fluently bilingual in French & English. You should have at least 35 years of previous practical experience as an Estimator, ideally in a similar owner/developer firm or GC dealing with multi-family residential projects.AEC in construction estimating or DEC in Estimating Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.Strong knowledge of construction, architectural, structural, civil engineering, and mechanical-electrical plans and specifications. Excellent proficiency in estimating software: PlanSwift, General Estimator, etc.You should have the ability to demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and good management of priorities.
