This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.Full-service mid-sized business law firm.Recognized as leaders in their respective fields in The Best Lawyers in Canada.Office conveniently located in Torontos Financial District!Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare monthly reconciliations for the firms Trust and General bank accounts and lead month-end journal entries for multiple entities; Conduct reconciliations of accounts, including intercompany, fixed assets, and prepaid schedules;Maintain accurate timekeeper setups and billing rates in e-billing platforms and accounting software;Assist with analyses and working papers for annual audits and ensure compliance with trust account regulations;Support annual budget preparation, conduct profitability analyses, cash flow trend analyses, and provide variance analysis on month-end reports; Maintain key financial reports, such as collections, partner capital schedules, and expense analyses;Conduct monthly departmental profitability analyses and provide actionable insights.Work with HR to manage RRSP uploads and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, and;Assist with all other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or CFO.Requirements:Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or similar designation preferred.35 years of financial analysis experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.Advanced Excel proficiency (vlookups, IF analysis), familiarity with accounting software (Elite, Aderant, or Clio preferred), and a strong understanding of trust accounting and legal billing practices.Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
