Job Title

Seasonal position available on a family grain farm/cattle operation in Southern Alberta. Looking for help in the spring during seeding and fall harvest (mid April to mid October). We are currently seeking a person who can help on our grain farm and cow/calf operation. Duties will be based on employees skills and may include: Operating machinery, trucking/grain handling at seeding and harvest, working with cattle, calving, tagging, branding, fencing, feeding cattle, haying, rolling, harrowing, equipment maintenance, yard/building maintenance and various other duties. Must be willing to work long hours during seeding and harvest (including holidays, weekends and evenings). Most work is Monday Friday, except during busy times. Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, hold a minimum Class 5 drivers license (no GDL) and be willing to get a Class 3 license, and demonstrate competency from past farm employment. Should be reliable, able to work well with others and alone, and be physically fit to lift calves. Willing to pay good wages for experience and someone who can work on their own. Wage range $25-$30/hour and is dependent on experience. Located near Milo, Alberta. Only successful candidates will be contacted, and may be asked for a drivers abstract.
