Looking for a fun and engaging LIVE-IN Caregiver for our mom who is 82. My mom loves to socialize and do things. She has some dementia, so experience in positive communication skills with a senior who experiences memory loss will be important. She is part of many programs, is mobile and fairly independent. She lives in a lovely 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo in Oakridge. Homecare arrives each morning for 18 hrs/week, so assistance with medication and personal care is not needed. There is a 2nd caregiver who comes 4 days for 3 to 4 hours during the weekday and all day on Friday. This is a full-time caregiver position that works in coordination with Home Care and the 2nd caregiver A position, that has a lot of flexibility during the day, with a focus on regularly hours later in the day, the evening, and to have someone living at the condo at night. Shared meals, living onsite for companionship, some meal prep, engaging in activities and conversation to keep my moms mind healthy is what we are looking for.
