We are a family of 3 residing in Panorama Hills NW and have an immediate requirement for a temporary-respite care worker to take care of a 18-year old female, atypical youth. She is non-verbal and has a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and cortical visual impairments (CVI). The job entails receiving the youth, when she returns from her day program at 2.30 pm prepare and provide her with warm meal, change her clothes, read stories, engage her in educational activities and do some household chores; also let her relax until the parents return from work at 5.30 or 6 pm. If the candidate is able to start at 7.45 am to prepare her to leave for the day program at 9 am, we are willing to provide additional 1.5 hours during morning weekdays. Total allocated hours per week are between 20 to 22 hrs. We are offering $25.16 per hour for this job. For the right candidate this job shall change into a permanent long-term position with additional hours.
