Job Title

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the company, working closely with the S/R and Logistics team, moving and cataloguing inbound/outbound inventory continuously, without interruption, while maintaining a safe working environment. Responsible for movement of parts, products and material throughout the shop on an as needed basis. Shift Description: - Comply with all safety protocols and procedures set forth in the OHSA, all company practices, procedures and codes of conduct, adhere to company Personal Protective Equipment policy and participation in all Health and Safety training conducted by the company - Perform daily safety checks on all equipment i.e.; forklifts, propane tanks, pump trucks. - Must occasionally provide flexibility in work hours to ensure load/unloads are completed and accurate. - Properly label and safely store raw materials and/or finished products in appropriate areas - Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand and/or by using material handling equipment - Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as travellers, packing slips, purchase orders, etc. to verify quality and accuracy of shipment. - Responsible for documenting any parts/products that arrive damaged from vendors or suppliers and communicating with the Logistics Co-ordinator for review. - Accurately counting, labelling and storing of inventory items/stock parts and inputting data into the manufacturing software system (E2 ShopTech). - Responsible for counting and documenting all incoming and outgoing product/parts to ensure customer requirements are met from a fulfillment standpoint.
