We are based in North Vancouver with satellite offices in Kamloops, Terrace, Vernon and Nassau (The Bahamas) with a staff complement of 21 environmental professionals and support members.The ideal candidate will be able to undertake a variety of office and field tasks, working independently or as part of a team. This position is based out of our North Vancouver office.At a glance:We are looking for an intermediate engineer, engineer in training, or engineering technician to join our team. This could include AutoCAD production and drafting, record drawing preparation, tender and contract preparation, perform quantity take-offs and construction cost estimatesAssist with the preparation of design calculations including slope stability, settlement analysis, flow and pump head calculations, hydraulic modelling and equipment sizingCoordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achievedOnsite quality assurance and/or quality control (QA/QC).Prepare daily and monthly reports of specific workAssist project managers with contract administration and budget trackingUAV photogrammetry and inspection supportAll other duties as assignedQualifications:The following is a list of attributes of the ideal candidate:Minimum 3-5years of relevant experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate to advance computer skills including MS OfficeWillingness to travel to remote sites when the need arisesExperience doing Field WorkMust be Canadian Resident or have valid work permitCarry a Class 5 Driver's LicenseDesign/drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D will be idealExperience with field survey assignments using GPS equipment will be idealPreference will be given to candidates that have experience with solid waste management, construction management, liner and cover systems, leachate collection and treatment, landfill gas control, greenhouse gas emissions analysis, transfer station design, implementation of recycling programs and/or solid waste management planningPlease apply with cover letter and resume.
