KisoJi Biotechnology is a therapeutic antibody company that is developing mono- and multispecific antibody therapeutics by leveraging our state-of-the-art proprietary transgenic mouse (KisoMouse) platform for the generation of heavy chain-only antibodies (HCAbs). We are specifically looking to hire a Senior Research Associate. This is an individual contributor position that requires on-site laboratory bench work.The successful candidate will have the ability to complete project milestones within strict deadlines, to provide technicalexpertise within their areas of strength, to work independently, and to collaborate effectively within our multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for people who are internally motivated, scientifically rigorous, and who hold high standards of laboratory maintenance. Candidates must be able to work legally in Canada.Position: Senior Research Associate Site: Toronto, Ontario, CanadaDepartment: Preclinical In vivoResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the department head, the Senior Research Associate, works independently and in collaboration with other team members to:Grow, maintain and preserve mammalian cell lines.Plan and execute cell biology experimentsAnalyse samples by flow cytometryHigh-throughput single B-cell and antibody-display screening campaigns, both for binding and cell-based functional outputsLenti-virus production and transductionRegular lab maintenanceMaintain well-organized and up-to-date records of all research activities, including writing detailed protocols, technical reports, and developing appropriate documentation for processes. Clearly communicate results in written reports and oral presentations Actively foster collaborative working relationships within and across teamsParticipate in team meetings to assist in the coordination of project and departmental activitiesFollow all safe laboratory practices and company policiesEssential qualificationsMinimum an M.Sc. in a life science (preferably in immunology or cell biology).Previous experience in industry environment will be an asset. Experience with the design and execution of cell biology techniques such as:oCell culture, Transfection, Flow cytometry, cell-based imaging techniquesStrong independent technical troubleshooting skillsAbility to multi-taskAccurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and experimental protocolsStrong time management skills, including accurate work planning and execution to meet agreed upon timelinesAbility to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document all work clearly and completelyStrong computer skills to use a variety of software packages, including but not limited to, FlowJo, Prism/GraphPad, and other software packages required for instrument operation and data analysis.AssetsExperience with animal handing and mice dosing via oral, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal routes is an assetCompensationCompensation will be discussed during the hiring processThank you for your interest.
