Job Description: The Packaging Mechanic will be responsible for helping to maintain and repair multiple lines in timely fashion while following all safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities Troubleshooting/repairs of processing and packaging equipment Lubrication of equipment at predetermined frequency Mechanical knowledge of power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics Look for root cause of repetitive problems and solve Work with supervisors for continuous improvement of process equipment operation Record of activities in Maintenance Log Inform storekeeper when stock of critical parts is low Prepare Withdrawal Form when removing parts from the Storeroom Remove parts and pipes for sanitation/cleaning and re-assemble for next production run All processing and equipment changeovers May work in extreme temperature conditions (hot, cold, humid) Operational knowledge of all equipment in plant Understand and adhere to all Plant Food, Health & Safety Policies Follow all GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation Principles to ensure food safety of plan and equipment Requirements Ontario Secondary School Diploma Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally Able to deal with people sensitively and professionally Ability to work in a fast pace environment while multi-tasking 1-2 Years of experience in food manufacturing facility Schedule: Day shift Evening shift Night shift Work Location: In person Job type Full-time Shift and schedule Afternoon shift Night shift Rotating shift Application process: Eligible candidates can forward their resumes at or call at 905-664-9365
