Acero Engineering Inc. (Acero), a growing facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill a Contract role as a 3D Electrical Drafter/Designer. Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical I&C engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services and construction management.Responsibilities:Ability to lay out 2D and 3D electrical trays and instrumentation.Understands electrical design for industrial applications including load calculations, cable sizing, power distribution, heat tracing, modular design, equipment specification, area classification, power system studies, instrumentation, and control philosophy.Understands the Canadian Electrical Code.Understands Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs).Understands required electrical deliverables and calculations for completing electrical designs for Oil and Gas projects.Maintain project drawing files and electronic drawings.Assure conformity to standards and execution of the work for Quality Assurance and Control.Adhere to procedures issued by company or client.Work to Standard & Typical Drawings as required.Meet drawing schedules and deliverables.Other tasks/responsibilities, as required.Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:Required: Bachelors Degree or Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Electrical DesignRequired: CADWorx 3D experienceRequired: 5 10 years related experiencePreferred: 3D Raceway experienceProficient knowledge of the English language, written and verbalFamiliarity with MS Office: Word, Excel, TeamsMust be a team player and a self-starterProven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients
