Salary: $85K+ Key Responsibilities Organizing and maintaining litigation filesCoordination of the document discovery process in accordance with firm protocolsDocument production including subjective analysis, preparation of Affidavit ofDocuments, summaries of productions, and discovery briefsManagement of electronic data for Discovery and TrialReviewing and summarizing transcripts of examinations; managing undertakings and refusalsPreparing charts, chronologies and summaries of documentary evidence for use on discovery and trialPreparing mediation and pre-trial briefsArranging and participating in meetings with clients and expertsPreparing bills of costsEnforcing judgments, including preparation of all material and electronic Writ filingTrial preparationManaging day to day tasks of the officeWorking with staff and lawyers to maximize potential and work performanceCoordinate with other offices regarding policy implementationCoordinating new hires as neededWorking with Accounting to ensure payroll and banking related matters are addressedOther duties as required QualificationsMinimum 5 years litigation law clerk experienceIn-depth knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and statutesWorking experience with class action filesLaw Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate (or equivalent)Professional demeanour and strong organizational, investigative, fact-finding, and problem-solving skillsAbility to process a high volume of documentation with excellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and with excellent judgment to both follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as requiredStrong knowledge of Summation and other industry standard litigation support softwareTo apply, please forward your resume to: Zaheeda Merali Manager - Law Clerk Search at
