Job Description

Role Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Data & Digital, the Copywriter & Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping Hannam Fertility Centre effectively connect with our community. Responsibilities range from editing and polishing dense handouts about medical procedures to drafting effective (and empathetic) social media content that engages and educates our target audience. This role is best suited to an exceptional writer and communicator with 3+ years of digital marketing experience. The balance between copywriting work and marketing/brand work may shift over time, but currently breaks down to about 60% copywriting, 40% marketing. This role is a full-time 12 month contract. Job Duties Copywriting (60%) Learn our brand voice and apply it appropriately across different content types with a wide range of audiences, including patients, physicians, and the whole multidisciplinary HFC team. Work with administrators, physicians, and nurses to write and/or update patient communications, including medication and procedure handouts, email communication templates, appointment booking flows, and webpages. Work with leadership and HR to write and edit copy for internal and external communications, including presentations, clinic signage, and emails. Marketing/Brand (40%) Paid Marketing help manage and optimize Google Ad spend. Must have experience using Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager. Organic Social Media using our designed social templates (in Canva), create and schedule social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Have a strong understanding of social media trends, especially in healthcare. Patient Stories work with internal teams to source patient stories for our website and social media. Marketing Operations ensure marketing efforts are tracked effectively to help us report on ROI. Must have experience using UTM parameters and Google Analytics and be willing to learn to use PowerBI. Website maintain our newly redesigned Squarespace website, optimizing for SEO as needed. Rebrand Implementation help implement our new brand across all touchpoints, including creating updated, rebranded versions of all patient-facing handouts and letters. Webinars coordinate and run biannual webinars in collaboration with members of our operations and clinical teams. For all the above channels, collaborate with the clinical and digital team to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with clinic messaging, voice, and branding. Work with third-party vendors including designers, writers, and developers. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a writing-related field, including journalism, copywriting, literature, or communications, plus 3+ years of proven digital marketing experience, OR Bachelor''s degree in digital marketing with 3+ years of proven professional writing experience. Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing, with experience in paid ads, organic social, and marketing operations. Strong editing and proofreading skills to be applied on complex, patient-facing medical documents. Demonstrated experience in writing for the patient or customer experience. Experience in the healthcare field is a significant bonus. Experience using Canva for social media and other design projects. Comfort using Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for cross-team collaboration. Working Conditions: General office conditions Must be able to work safely in a typical computer-centric office environment Five-day work week with 9-5 hours Our team is hybrid: Were expected in the office on Mondays, Thursdays, and one other flex day, and can work from home two days a week.
