Job Title: Sous Chef / Banquet Chef/ Chef de Partie Location: Private Club with Large Event Space (with events 30-350 people) Position Type: Year-Round Wages :Competitive, full benefits and RRSP program We are seeking a dynamic and fully experienced Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at a prestigious private club. This is a full-time, year-round position, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative, positive -professional kitchen environment. Responsibilities: Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. Lead by example with a hands-on approach to coaching, mentoring, and developing kitchen staff. Oversee, food production during events, catering services, and regular club restaurant operations. Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organizational practices. Collaborate with the culinary leadership team to create, execute, and refine set menu specifications. Assist with developing new seasonal menus that cater to the needs and preferences of members and guests. Supervise kitchen operations during peak periods, ensuring efficiency and quality. Support the leadership team in inventory control, ordering supplies, and cost management. Qualifications: 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role within a private club, hotel, or high-end hotel environment. 5+ years of experience with large-scale event catering and high-volume service. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development. Ability to direct a team and ensure results in a fast paced environment. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining the highest culinary standards. Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices. Strong computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Creativity and innovation in menu planning and execution. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada Background check will be required.
