Hiring - Junior to Intermediate Biologists / Environmental Monitors AquaTerra Environmental Ltd. boasts a variety of existing projects currently underway with additional secured multi-year largescale projects that will ensure continued long-term work for 1-2 people, including bridge upgrade works, municipal permitting and watercourse management and monitoring, infrastructure upgrades, Highway 1 widening works (3 sections), Surrey/Langley Skytrain extension works, and a variety of local and regional environmental monitoring projects. During the summer months (May - Oct), we will have a number of projects requiring fish and wildlife salvages (and permitting) including Metro Vancouver park upgrade works involving species at risk, annual channel maintenance and fish/amphibian salvage works for numerous municipalities, and works with species at risk, including Oregon Spotted Frog, Western Painted Turtle, and Pacific Water Shrew. We''re looking for a self starter(s) - someone with experience and initiative and the ability to take what they have learned and to apply it to different sites. Existing experience with regulatory permitting, environmental monitoring and reporting would be assets. Expected Salary Range: $33-40/hr based on experience. We offer a variable mix of field and office work, a wide breadth of projects, the ability to work primarily from home (with 1-2 in-office days a week), and as a smaller consulting firm, the ability to be exposed to various facets of the consulting industry, from proposal writing and start up, to initial management plan authoring, through to the onset of construction and management through to reporting, meetings, and mitigation strategies.
