Position OverviewCSHP is looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance & Operations Manager to oversee the organizations day-to-day financial reporting and operations, IT and data management, administration, and facilities. The ideal candidate will bring practical business knowledge, a keen eye for improving workflows, and a data-driven mindset to optimize operations and drive organizational success.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance and Accounting (70%)Reconcile bank accounts monthly and align Sage 50 and iMIS account balances.Manage non-membership invoicing and monitor accounts receivable.Input accounting data into Sage 50 (note: CSHP is transitioning to a cloud-based platform).Ensure efficient accounts payable, payroll, benefits, and group retirement savings plan operations while recommending process improvements.Prepare and submit GST/HST returns.Provide financial analysis for inputs to projections and annual budget.Prepare timely monthly financial reports/reconciliations with insights and recommendations.Maintain compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and related obligations.Ensure robust internal controls are in place, adhering to finance and administration policies.Assist in the update of finance and administration policies and procedure manuals as necessary.Organizational Administration (30%)Responsible for the procedures/processing and invoicing of membership fees, sponsorships, events, and donations through IMIS (current AMS).Research and recommend enhancements to the AMS and other operational functions to boost efficiency and effectiveness.Build and maintain dashboards and regular organizational reports.Manage outsourced IT services to ensure smooth functionality.Oversee branch services operations.Assist the CEO and Director of Finance with human resources management, particularly benefits administration.Qualifications, Competencies & ValuesEducation: CPA designation (or equivalent education/experience).Experience: 35+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally within a nonprofit or similar setting.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams and SharePoint, is essential. Advanced Excel skills are required.
