Toys R Us Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated by Putman Investments, has an opportunity for a full-time Inventory Control Specialist on the day shift. This position is located in our Concord Distribution Centre. Shift Times: Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. Reporting to the Manager Fulfilment, this role will support the clothing and accessories fulfilment operations in the Toys R Us Distribution Centre. This position is responsible for conducting audits and ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating shipment and delivery of products, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory control processes. Responsibilities:Execute inventory control functions with a drive for accuracy, flawless execution and accountability Perform weekly / monthly / quarterly/ annual inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracyCoordinate inventory location moves within the warehouseExecute the annual yearend physical inventory within the guidelines and procedures set by the yearend committee Process damaged items and return to vendorsIdentify opportunities to align inventory moves to optimize capacity Work cross functionally with department managers and business partners to identify opportunities and drive change to support inventory accuracy and execute best practicesDevelop new processes and procedures that will improve the Departments productivity, quality and accuracy Develop a deployment strategy for over 15K products supporting product management to refine our stocked offer and improve customer service for the Canadian network.Provide the highest level of customer service to both internal as well as external customers.Stocking merchandise using RF technology Escalates urgent requests as needed to the Fulfillment ManagerProvides excellent customer service and responds to inquiries within set timeframes from the Purchasing / Sales teamsDevelop new processes and procedures that will improve the Departments productivity, quality and accuracy Create and maintain SOPs for all functionsExecute and follow through on items related to system issuesComply with ToysRUs Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards and with the OHSA. Performs other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications:1 2 years of administrative experience in a fulfilment / warehouse environment preferred with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction Proven experience in inventory control or related roleProficient in Inventory Control SystemsAbility to lift up to 40lbs Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Sharepoint and MS Teams) Proficient in using RF technology Must have previous experience and / or hold a valid Reach Truck license Excellent organization, planning, and communication skillsStrong multi-tasking and organizational skills;Must possess a forklift license and have experience to operate an order picker Ability to support multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environmentMust be able to cross train between all areas of the DCToys'R'Us is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
