In this role, you will take a leadership position in driving projects forward, collaborating with senior designers and engineers across multiple disciplines to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has experience in the design of institutional, industrial, commercial, and healthcare facilities, with a strong understanding of the Ontario engineering market. This position offers significant growth potential and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our Toronto presence.RESPONSIBILITIESCo-ordinate project requirements with all team members, in all disciplines, as requiredPrepare contract drawings, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design through to tender and constructionOversee junior engineers, designers and drafting staff for the preparation of documentsEnsure that document quality follows company standardsProvide advisory services and presentations to existing and prospective clients.Work independently and apply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codes with minimal supervisionMeet project timelines and budgetsPerform detailed site take-offs of existing building systems and conduct routine site reviewsConstruction Administration co-ordination, review and issuance of Change Orders, Clarifications and RFI responses as requiredOther related duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSMinimum 5 years of experience in the preparation and design of engineering drawings using appropriate standards for power, emergency power, fire alarm, lighting, telecommunications, security, public address and nurse call systemsDemonstrated understanding of construction protocols and processes and a proven ability to interpret drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with standards such as CAN/ULC-S524, CSA Z32, CSA C282Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalDesire for ongoing professional developmentBachelors Degree in Electrical EngineeringRegistration with the Professional Engineers of Ontario as a licensed professional engineerPMP designation is desired, but is not requiredValid drivers license
