Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Concrete Flatworks the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large scale construction project.Primary Scope of RoleAssist the Manager in managing work on-site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications Support the Superintendent and the Manager in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintainedMonitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followedAdvise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problemsMaintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budgetMeet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the companyMonitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality controlInterface with project team, subcontractors and related third partiesMonitor and inspect project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followedPosition RequirementsBachelors degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. A EIT or CET designation is preferred2 years of construction experience preferableExperience on MTO road construction projects is preferableExposure to all aspects of road and bridge buildingResults-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
