Responsibilities: Support Project Managers in all day-to-day construction activities Accurately log hours in the Time Tracking App daily. Accurately complete all admin tasks as directed by the Project Manager Accurately upload photos to the photo software provided by BWC as directed by the Project Manager Attend a weekly Goal Setting and Review Meeting (GSR) in order to set weekly goals, review daily logs, bring up current issues and problem solve with the Project Manager. Problem solve and use experience as well as current building standards to achieve a high-quality final product. Review budget and schedule targets with our Production Manager and Project Managers. Use and store materials properly to avoid waste, shortages, and damage and eliminate avoidable delays in projects. Help set sites up for adverse weather days. Mobilize and demobilize all sites as directed by the Project Manager Proactively monitor or protect all assigned sites to prevent re-work or damages. Review all work to proactively prevent deficiencies and unbillable work. Review scopes of work with subtrades and ensure sequencing of all work is coordinated as directed by the Project Manager Implement and monitor all safety controls on site as directed by the Project Manager Work as a team and/or individually in an efficient manner to ensure all tasks are completed within the allotted time frame. Ensure tools and materials are ordered and readied in advance to enable projects to advance in the most efficient manner possible. Report any damaged or lost/stolen tools to Upper Management Report all safety incidents to Upper Management Always maintain site street presence, with a priority on public safety and cleanliness. Complete all aspects of carpentry on new constructions, renovations and commercial tenant improvements to all project specifications, budget and schedule. This includes but is not limited to: All foundation forming and rebar Architectural concrete forming Installing all temporary structures such as scaffolding, walkways, stairways All rough carpentry including floor systems, wall systems, roof systems, erecting trusses, sheathing roofs, framings stairwells Structural steel detailing Envelope detailing and exterior insulation Window/Exterior door installations Rainscreen, siding and soffit installations Interior finishing such as installing interior doors, baseboards, door casings, wainscotting etc. Millwork installations including scribing all fillers Installation of floors, wall panelling or other finishes per project specifications. Actively manage sites at critical milestones such as concrete pours, structural steel installations etc. Manage and supervise a crew of carpenters and labourers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and mentoring apprentices. Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and all project stakeholders to ensure projects are on track, all changes are itemized, and specifications/layouts are reviewed and confirmed. Requirements: Red Seal 5+ years of experience in residential construction (single-family home) Proven leadership abilities PHTP, Net zero, or similar Training (asset but not required) ICF training or experience (asset but not required) OFA1/Fall Arrest List of References Project portfolio (asset but not required) Reliable vehicle to move between sites/office as required Valid drivers licence
