Job Description

Overall responsibility Reporting to the Food Safety and Hygiene Manager, this is a Coordinator role supporting various Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements in all Lounges in Eastern and western Canada Key Areas of Duties and Responsibility Develop, implement, and evaluate Food and safety and Quality policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with Canadian legislation, regulations, and guidelines. Assist the FSH manager to verify hygiene and sanitation process of lounges. Manage prerequisite programs that support the Quality Management System Actively participate in employee development, create, support, and facilitate training, and assist with internal auditing. Effectively lead all facility colleagues to establish an understanding of food safety and quality standards and drive improvement in food safety culture. Ensures accurate implementation and adherence to Quality policies and programs to ensure food safety and compliance with Company policies. Plan, develop, and implement procedures that prevent operational safety hazards in the workplace. Help in keeping cleaning logs up to date, scheduling deep cleaning for all lounges. Develop, implement, and evaluate health and safety policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with Canadian legislation, regulations, and guidelines. Review job site safety compliance inspections, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safe work procedures; identify and provide risk assessment recommendations. Manage effective industry health and safety programs in non-union and union environments. Biweekly inspection of a workplace, ensure proper health and safety compliance at the workplace, such as health and safety boards, up-to-date policies, and updates the boards. Send inspection report to HR. Plan, develop, and implement procedures that prevent operational safety hazards in the workplace Qualities & Requirements Diploma or certificate in Food Science or related degree in same field. Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Responsible, independent, and self-motivated. Well organized, detail oriented and hard-working. Detail-minded, with strong analytical skills, positive and proactive. Excellent time management, able to prioritize tasks, and work under pressure. Strong in communication and interpersonal skills. - possibility of travel to other stations (Montreal)
