Position Overview At the Calgary Chamber, we are on a mission to show the business community that we are better together. Reporting to the Manager, Brand and Marketing, the Marketing and Events Intern will play a supporting role in digital and social media content creation and assisting with events administration. The Marketing and Events Intern will work with members of the team on company profiles, editorial, facility tours and any other relevant content that can be leveraged across social media channels to increase awareness about the Calgary Chamber, our members and our value proposition. The Marketing and Events Intern is outgoing, flexible and excels in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This position will work with the Marketing team, Member Engagement team, and Events team to increase awareness of and engagement with the Calgary Chamber and our member base. Key Responsibilities Social Media Create compelling content for all Calgary Chamber social media platforms to increase awareness of, and engagement with, the Calgary Chamber and our member base Understand the ins and outs of filming and creating compelling video content Stay up-to-date and have a knack for viral social media trends Support the Marketing team with scheduling and posting social media content Create a library of social media content that can be used and leveraged throughout the year Develop new and fresh ideas that can be used across social media platforms Able to conduct interviews with members and stakeholders to produce high-quality content Events Administration Assist with the event registration process, including registration set-up and maintenance of online registration accounts Work with Events team to maintain event calendar and event files Support the events team with onsite event set up and execution Digital Marketing Support content for our digital newsletter Support the Digital Marketing Coordinator with the digital creation and distribution of the Calgary Chambers weekly newsletter Qualifications and Requirements Must be enrolled in an applicable post-secondary program, including marketing, communications or event management 1 year of marketing and communications experience Must have experience creating content for, and posting to, all social media platforms Candidate must be relationship-oriented with above-average oral and written communication skills Experience with CapCut and light video editing Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Dynamics) Ability to work with a wide variety of organizations Excellent organizational skills Must be flexible, punctual, and adaptable to change Reporting Relationships Reports to: Manager, Brand and Marketing Works closely with: Marketing team Events team Membership team If interested, please send your resum and cover letter to .
