We are a private investment firm consisting of an active operational trading company and passive holding company. We are currently looking for a finance/accounting professional to join our small close-knit team at our office located in the Granville & Broadway neighbourhood in Vancouver. Duties performed will include but are not limited to: Buying and selling Canadian & US securities and options Daily cash balance management and related transaction processing Facilitating deliveries into counterparty broker dealer accounts to ensure efficient and timely settlement of trades Monthly account balance reconciliations and P&L reporting Payroll processing and tax reporting General Administrative duties (filing, mail sorting, cheque deliveries etc.) Qualifications Desired: Preferred work experience in an accounting or financial services role Excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work under-pressure and prioritize effectively while maintaining a highly professional demeanor with colleagues and third-party contacts Ability to work rotating shifts between 5am - 2:45pm (7.5hr shifts) Punctuality, reliability and high attention to detail A desire to learn and participate in the dynamic nature of capital markets Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Must be a team player Position Start Date: As early as possible Compensation : Base Salary [62K - 67K] plus a private health services plan & potential annual discretionary bonus Only candidates located within the Vancouver area that are able to commute to the office for a 5am start time need apply Employment references will be required for candidates interviewed.
