Midwives Association of BC Midwives Association of British Columbia (MABC) is the professional non-profit association representing midwives in BC. The Association works to sustain the midwifery profession through advocacy, the ongoing development and enhancement of its service, and positioning midwives as primary care providers. The MABC works with its 400+ members to support the profession to meet the highest level of perinatal and sexual health care, through access to education and resources to improve and sustain midwifery services. Midwives support parents and life-givers as they nurture precious infants both inside and outside the womb. We are currently hiring for two Program Coordinator positions to support our growing initiatives. Program Coordinator Reporting to the Operations Director, the program coordinator is responsible for promoting continuous quality improvement in the program department and ensuring that MABC members have access to the appropriate programs and grants to advance in their profession. The program coordinator also facilitates partnerships with external parties for educational and learning sessions. Shared Responsibilities: Works collaboratively within and across teams to ensure high-quality programs and services for members. Provides support to colleagues during periods of high workload. Attends and participates in staff and team meetings. Develop an annual work plan with the direct manager in the context of the MABC strategic plan. Main Responsibilities: Administer and coordinate MABCs program applications and approvals. Ensure continuous quality improvement, program evaluation, and resolution of member concerns. Organize and manage logistics for educational sessions, including record-keeping and equipment inventory. Support data tracking and reporting for leadership decision-making and program evaluation. Act as a liaison between MABC members and the Administrative team, providing program access support. Efficiently manage communications, triaging calls, emails, and correspondence. Collaborate with the Communications team to keep program information up to date. Ensure program activities align with eligibility criteria, policies, and strategic goals. Maintain relationships with external organizations. Prepare and review financial information, including invoices, payments, and reimbursements. Develop procedural documentation and support new program initiatives. Address and resolve escalated member concerns strategically. Main Qualification: Bachelors degree in social sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in a fast-paced environment is required, preferably in healthcare or a not-for-profit organization Strong written and oral communication skills Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, Forms) and virtual environment are required. Client Relationship management/ Database experience is an asset. Ability to work independently to drive tangible results. Demonstrated time management skills. Excellent organization, planning, and prioritization skills and good judgment necessary to coordinate many interdependent activities. Professional tact and diplomacy, and confidentiality are required. Ability to work well in a dynamic and highly motivated team Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy. Efficiently manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
