Role Overview The Head of Operations will be responsible for the seamless execution of catering operations from beginning to end, including team leadership, operational efficiency and event experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong food and beverage operations background, and is skilled at people management, client relations, process improvement, and profitability enhancement. Key Responsibilities Operations & Team Management Oversee the daily operations of all departments to ensure efficiency and quality. Work in collaboration with the sales, culinary, events, and logistics teams to support vendor and client relationship management. Develop and implement operational processes to enhance workflow and maximize productivity. Monitor and maintain high food production, service, and client experience standards. Support and collaborate with the sales, events, logistics, and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution of events. Collaborate with sales team on RFPs, business development and VIP client acquisition. Crisis management and problem solving. Act as the primary point of contact for daily operational challenges, proactively resolving issues related to unforeseen emergencies while maintaining professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset to ensure minimal disruption and an exceptional client experience. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations. Financial & Procurement Management Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify areas for increased efficiency and savings. Oversee procurement and supply vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Work with sales, culinary, events, and logistics teams to set annual targets. Collaborate with the finance team on payroll and cost analysis to improve profitability. People Leadership & Culture Lead, train, and mentor a diverse team, fostering a positive, high-performance culture. Manage staffing levels and oversee scheduling to align with business needs. Drive engagement and retention initiatives to reduce employee turnover. Client & Event Support Act as a key point of contact for high-profile clients and corporate accounts when needed. Provide on-site support for major events, ensuring flawless execution when needed. Handle client concerns and operational challenges with professionalism and efficiency. What Were Looking For Proven experience (5+ years) in food and beverage, hospitality, or catering operations. Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and passion for improving systems and processes. Strong interest in automation of processes and AI integration opportunities. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and procurement. Hands-on approach, willing to jump in and support on-site operations when necessary.
