Job Summary The Associate Portfolio Manager is responsible for conducting investment due diligence on third-party asset managers and individual investment opportunities based on client requests. They are expected to hold a client-first service mentality and assist with relationship management. They will also support financial, tax and estate planning projects for clients. The ideal candidate is an energetic, quick learner with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and exceptional investment experience. Job Responsibilities Conduct investment due diligence on third party asset managers across fixed income, private equity, private credit, hedge funds, equities, real estate, infrastructure, and venture capitalwhile collaborating with a seasoned team. Additionally, researching individual investments as requested by clients. Clearly summarize and communicate investment findings, both internally and with clients. Provide tax and structuring support, particularly focused on multi-generational transition and tax efficient strategies, while working in conjunction with external legal and accounting partners. Proactively respond to client requests and coordinate regular reporting with support from an internal client experience team. Ultimately, this role will transition to providing direct asset allocation advice to clients with alignment to their long-term financial plans Required Skills and Qualifications 4-8 years of experience focused on investment research and analysis, either within public or private markets. Other backgrounds will be considered on a select basis. Familiarity with and interest in expanding knowledge across various asset classes. Strong preference for a CA/CPA designation. CFA, CBV MFE, and MFIN are also assets. Familiarity with taxation or financial planning will be considered an asset. High level of integrity and ethics Ability to think strategically and work independently in an innovative, fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
