Job Description : The Additive Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing 3D-printed molds for thermoform compression molding, utilizing advanced large-format 3D printing technologies to produce high-quality molds.We are seeking a skilled Additive Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive innovation in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of tooling design and engineering, Responsibilities : Create and refine CAD models for molds, ensuring compatibility with large-format 3D printing processes and thermoform compression molding requirements. Develop and implement additive manufacturing parameters to enhance mold quality, reduce production time, and minimize material waste. Research and select appropriate materials for mold production, considering factors such as durability, thermal stability, and cost-effectiveness. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, production engineers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of molds into the manufacturing process. Conduct trials to assess mold performance, analyze results, and implement necessary design or process adjustments. Oversee the maintenance of 3D printing equipment and address any technical issues that arise during the mold production process. Maintain detailed records of design iterations, DFMEA, root cause analysis, process parameters, and testing outcomes to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing Qualifications : Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years in additive manufacturing, with a focus on tooling design and large-format 3D printing. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Expertise in CAD software for designing complex geometries. Proficient in additive manufacturing technologies, particularly material extrusion methods. Familiarity with thermoform compression molding processes. Strong understanding of material properties and their implications on mold performance. Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented assignments while keeping sight of overarching objectives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions Passion for cars and automotive culture is highly desirable TuxMat is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
