Role Overview : The Business Strategist will provide expert guidance and recommendations to the client to optimize their business processes, marketing strategies, and overall business operations for our biggest client, Coca-Cola. This consultant will collaborate with leadership and various business units to drive efficiency, develop talent, and identify growth opportunities within the Coca-Cola framework. The Business Strategist will be responsible for advising on strategic direction, training staff on business processes, reviewing client intake briefs, approving marketing ideation, and supporting overall business development efforts. Key Responsibilities: Business Strategy : Work closely with client leadership to evaluate and refine the approach for Brand and Customer teams, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals of the agency and the client. Provide actionable insights and recommendations on optimizing business performance through strategic adjustments, approach and planning. Offer expertise in market analysis, competitive positioning, and internal operational efficiency to guide the Coca-Cola Account team. Training and Process Optimization : Design and deliver tailored training sessions to empower client teams with the knowledge and tools needed to execute business processes effectively. Ensure staff are well-versed in operational best practices and client-specific processes, improving overall performance and efficiency. Support the development of the Account Team presentation preparation, ideation, client/account management tools and training. Advise on process improvements and implementation strategies to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Client Intake & Creative Briefs : Assess client intake briefs for strategic alignment, feasibility, and clarity, offering constructive feedback where necessary. Collaborate with the Coca Cola account team to improve the intake process, ensuring all necessary components are well-defined and ready for execution. Review and approve all creative briefs before being presented to the creative team ensure the creative direction is clear, the assets are accessible, and the timeline is manageable. Advise on the prioritization and alignment of new projects with business objectives. Marketing Ideation and Strategy : In collaboration with the Account Director, assist in the briefing of the creative team to deliver world-class, on brand, creative ideas ensuring that all creative partners are clear on expectations, brand guidelines and program KPIs. Review and approve marketing concepts, campaigns, and initiatives to ensure they align with client business objectives and resonate with pitch audience and program target audiences. Collaborate with the Coca-Cola account team to create unexpected opportunities through innovative ideas, ensuring that creative strategies support long-term business growth. Using your client expertise, provide expert recommendations on marketing tactics, ensuring the client maximizes ROI on marketing program investments. Supporting Business Growth : Relationship building, QBR meetings Identify and propose strategies for expanding business opportunities, enhancing service offerings, and improving operational efficiency. Working with the Vice President, XM and the Group Account Director build strategic and realistic channel plans that deliver against an aggressive annual and quarterly target. In partnership with the Group Account Director and Account Directors create a Quarterly Business Review schedule designed to not only build face to face relationships but share the good work that is being done by the agency and the account team. Work with the Group Account Director and Vice President Experiential to explore new markets, refine business models, and accelerate growth both organically and through new Coca-Cola client acquisition. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed to drive sustained growth and success. Experience & Qualifications: Strategic Insight : Provide high-level strategic advice that addresses both immediate needs and long-term business goals. The consultant should bring innovative, actionable solutions to complex business challenges. Collaboration : Work seamlessly with internal client teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategies and initiatives across various departments. Clear Communication : Effectively communicate complex strategies and ideas to both senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring that recommendations are understood and actionable. Adaptability : Thrive in a dynamic business environment, adjusting strategies as market conditions and client needs evolve. Results-Driven : Deliver tangible results that positively impact the clients operations, marketing efforts, and business growth. Confidentiality : Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with all sensitive business information and strategic insights. Extensive experience as a business strategy consultant or in a senior strategic role, ideally across multiple industries. Proven expertise in business process optimization, staff training, and development. Strong background in marketing strategy, with experience reviewing and approving marketing campaigns. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
