With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is seeking a full-time Officer, Trustee Services to support the Board of Trustees. K ey A ccountabilities Reporting to and under the direction of the Executive Assistant, this position plays a vital role in providing administrative support to the Board of Trustees. Provide general administrative office support to Trustees and Student Trustees, including administrative support for school community meetings Provide administrative budget-management support to Trustees including the completion of expense claims and quarterly expenditure reporting for Trustees and Student Trustees Prepare communication and general correspondence such as newsletters on behalf of Trustees Support the Trustees at events and meetings as required Respond to inquiries from constituents and refer issues as required to the appropriate Trustee and/or TCDSB staff Liaise with TCDSB departments and administrative bodies to provide constituents with information and assistance in resolving questions and problems as well as providing clarification of Board policies Schedule meetings, appointments and constituent activities for Trustees as required Assist Trustees with computer data management, ordering supplies, technical support, and maintaining a schedule of school events such as graduations Maintain statistical and administrative information such as parent council databases, ward lists, contact lists, etc.; Maintain an appropriate records system, including filing and follow-up protocol Perform other related duties as assigned or required R equirements Two (2) years College Diploma in Political Science, Community Development, Communications, or an acceptable equivalent Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a similar role, ideally within a community relations context or as a constituency assistant Demonstrated ability to handle matters requiring high levels of diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality Strong customer service skills in responding to daily queries from members of the public by phone or email Demonstrated commitment to community engagement Experience in managing and maintaining office records, ensuring accuracy and appropriate cross-referencing Proven ability to organize and co-ordinate a diverse number of projects with minimal supervision Proficiency in keyboarding and computer skills including word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications, email, internet and in designing flyers, certificates and constituency newsletters using appropriate software applications Proven communication (verbal and written), research, casework and interpersonal skills Ability to work with a flexible schedule This is a non-union Level 10 position with a salary range of $ 69,596 - $ 86,994 along with comprehensive benefits including pension plan, vacation, and professional development opportunities.
