Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) The HR Business Partner role works closely with designated business units to achieve strategic goals through a collaborative approach in supporting employee and labour relations, performance management and organizational development. This role will act as a change agent for the business units HR approach and how they lead others. You will participate and assist in key initiatives and projects and the implementation of HR best practices. Location: Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (travel is required through Central and SW Ontario) Hybrid role with 3 Days per week on site Schedule: 40 hours Monday to Friday Responsibilities Partner with assigned client groups to drive proactive employee and labour relations. Advise management and employees on the application and interpretation of collective agreements and labour standards. Proactive outreach on HR communications to improve the employer-employee relationship. Provide coaching to people managers in leadership development and company policies. Provide guidance, direction and advise to the business units regarding employment related issues including but not limited to the interpretation of the Collective Agreement, Company policies, attendance management, performance management and terminations. Act as a champion to integrate HR Key Initiatives within the broader organization. Ensuring that best practices are followed by staying current with labour and employment legislation and HR Industry Developments. Contributing to HR projects and influencing HR strategies, policies and procedures. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced HR Generalist or HR Business partner role. Bachelors degree or Post-Secondary School Education in Human Resource Management CHRP or CHRL Designation is an asset Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc). Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices Demonstrates agility and drives along change. Excellent interpersonal, coaching and conflict resolution skills Ability to be hands on, think critically and solve problems. High level of professionalism and integrity.
