The role involves advising clients on tax litigation and dispute matters, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in tax court proceedings. Proceedings typically take place in Ottawa or Toronto and are in-person. Experience Requirement: 1-5 years of tax law experience with a top law firm. Billable Hour Requirement: We have an annual requirement of 1200 billable hours. There is also a generous bonus for exceeding the minimum billable hour threshold. Qualifications: Experience in Tax Litigation Legal research and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and remotely Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar license in the Province of Ontario Total Compensation: The salary is based on the year of call and hours billed.
