The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between patients and dental staff. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using office software. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems, such as Epic. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history. Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism. Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the office. Stay updated on dental terminology and office procedures to provide accurate information to patients. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (experience with Epic is a plus). Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in phone systems and office software. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills to manage appointments and patient records efficiently.
