As they continue to grow and evolve, they are seeking a Strategic Business Development Executive to help drive expansion and solidify their market position within the Defense Industry vertical. The Director, Strategic Development Defense is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across a diverse portfolio of transportation and logistics services. The Director will work closely with Executive Leadership to shape the company''''s long-term growth strategy and execute high-impact initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, exceptional strategic thinking, and strong leadership abilities. The successful candidate will champion the development of the defense vertical, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand market share and enter new markets Identify strategic partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions to enhance service offerings and competitive position Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that address evolving customer requirements Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and high-potential prospects Serve as the trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on supply chain optimization, transportation efficiencies, and industry best practices Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets for new business acquisition and existing account growth Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor''''s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA preferred Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, and/or strategic leadership roles within the transportation/logistics or Defense industry vertical Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing large, complex contracts Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans Strong leadership abilities, including experience managing and developing high-performing matrixed teams Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization Deep understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities Our client offers an outstanding total compensation plan including performance based incentives.
