Job Description

The Manager, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Regulatory and Compliance department with a Brokerage company, while providing answers and support to clients (internal and external) of a technical nature, including integration inquiries and general account set up. Ensure that new regulations issued by CBSA are communicated, implemented and complied with. Provide support to sales department regarding new account set-ups, implement integration tools and answer client queries Act as advisor to clients regarding customs legislation, new initiatives, compliance and regulations while identifying regulatory opportunities as obtaining rulings and duty deferral applications Provide direction to and oversee the performance of the department Create and maintain reporting structure in CRM individually per client Approve newsflashs for distribution to clients and branch Identify and recommend QC cases to help reduce errors Work toward departmental goals i.e. win to start Meet with team weekly for updates Stay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting the Willson International client base Ensure all new CBSA/PGA initiatives are communicated to VP Collaborate with other departments to ensure goals are met while providing the best service to our clients Hold a position and be active on a board or committee relative to Regulatory requirements Occasional travel may be required Must have experience in a brokerage setting All other duties as assigned
