The significant increase in our business volume as well as the deployment of numerous projects outside Quebec, leads us to seek an experienced site superintendent. If you are the person chosen as site superintendent, you will ensure the smooth running and daily monitoring of the site and will work in collaboration with the project managers. More specifically, the site superintendent will be responsible for: Planning, coordinating and supervising work on the site in accordance with the plans and specifications; Ensuring that each subcontractor fulfills all of their contractual obligations and requirements; Performing regular quality control inspections; Participating in the resolution of any problems that may arise on the site; Take part in site meetings with the various project stakeholders; Complete daily site reports and all other administrative documentation; Ensure compliance with the work schedule and keep the project manager informed of its progress; Coordinate contract change requests with the project manager; Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations in force on the site; Manage the physical organization and cleanliness of the site; All other related tasks. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a site superintendent (industrial building construction); Ability to direct the various stakeholders on site and demonstrate leadership; Ability to read and interpret building structure and envelope plans; Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently and make decisions; Mobility required to work on a construction site in Nova Scotia for 5 to 6 months; Knowledge of common computer tools; Bilingualism required (advanced English and intermediate French); Valid driver''s license
