Position Title: Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) Location: Port Perry is a popular town with a beautiful lakeside park, and only a short drive from Hwy 407 for getting around the GTHA. The area offers a variety of live music and theatrical groups live performances, a long list of upscale restaurants that get involved with a fun mix of street closures for the regular festival weekends organized by the local chamber of commerce. Status: This is a permanent job and budgeted for five weekdays per week. Further, permanent part-time will be considered. The employer-paid parking is on-site. Duties: X-Rays and related duties of the MRT profession, with further clinical details to be shared in a video interview with the hiring manager. Expectations and Responsibilities: Explain the procedure to the patient and provide instructions when the patient is required to change Provide a safe and private environment for the patient Sanitize and clean mammography machine between each patient Perform required appropriate views as requested by Radiologist Always be professional; refrain from engaging in personal discussions during their clinical procedure. Consult the radiologist whenever necessary. Maintain CME education as per CAR and CMRITO guidelines Do other required documentation as required for accreditation Attend / certify for all required training Learn BMD and mammograms with us Qualifications and Relevant Experience: Full competency in X-rays independently and willing to learn BMD and mammograms Active with CMRITO, OAMRS and Professional liability insurance Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all members of your healthcare team Time management skills The medical imaging corporation will employ the MRT directly, and has engaged our services.
