Job Title: Program Facilitator Supervisor: Program Manager General Job Description The Program Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of the various Team Yo Bro I Yo Girl Youth Initiative Programs at schools throughout BC. In addition, the Program Facilitator will provide presentations and deliver curriculum as required. Duties and Responsibilities The Program Facilitator performs a wide range of duties including: delivering YBYG program YBYG pro-social recreational activities and curriculum; mentoring, coaching and supporting participants in the programs; promoting and maintaining professional behavior, and following YBYG policies and procedures; attending staff meetings and YBYG training; providing presentations related to YBYG programs; promoting YBYG by attending community events; maintaining program participants attendance records and relevant documentation; collecting and reviewing participant waiver forms to ensure safety of participants; supervising Program Assistants and Youth Leaders; supervising volunteers and practicum students, and documenting hours worked; completing additional administrative tasks as directed by the Executive Director. Qualifications Qualifications include: Education and Training high school diploma; Leadership Training; Professional Certification - National Coaching Certification, Mental Health First Aid, First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (training & certifications can be obtained during employment); Specialized Knowledge -Suicide Prevention, MCFD Child Abuse & Neglect; Food Safe BC; Experience minimum of two years working with youth; Specialized Skill Martial arts/self-defense, wrestling considered an asset but not required. Working Conditions Regular weekday work, primarily after school hours for grade school, some evening and weekend work for presentations and special events, some outdoor work, working with challenging participants; requires ability to travel between schools and program events.Required to be physically active for extended periods of time and be able to lift heavy objects such as wrestling mats and medicine balls.
