THE POSITION Tourism Calgary is on the lookout for a highly organized and detail-driven Destination Brand Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Destination Brand , this role is central to executing Tourism Calgarys Blue Sky City brand strategy. As an amazing project manager, you will advocate and support the brand by helping to bring Calgarys story and possibilities to life, showcasing our warm, enthusiastic hosts, diverse culture, and blue-sky thinking that inspires travelers to come to our city. If you''re passionate about supporting our team and partners in bringing the brand to life, keeping projects on track, managing photo and video assets with precision, and using software tools to support consistent brand storytelling, this role is for you! You''ll work closely with our team and tourism partners with top-tier branding tools, and maintain a well-organized, accessible multimedia library to enhance our marketing efforts. Were looking for someone whos just as comfortable managing multiple projects and photo and video assets as they are brainstorming fresh ways to bring Calgarys brand to life. The candidate needs to have a keen sense of visual composition , be an expert project manager, and enthusiastic about showcasing Calgary as a top-tier tourism destination. Familiarity with asset development processes, stakeholder communications, and digital platforms is essential. Bonus points if you have managed video production or photoshoots. You bring a keen eye for detail, stay cool under pressure, and are smart, engaging, and resourceful. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Calgarys Blue Sky City brand evolution support the evolution and activation of Calgarys Blue Sky City brand by guiding internal teams and tourism partners in aligning with its visuals and storytelling approach. This role will help ensure consistency and shape perceptions of Calgary by facilitating orientations, workshops, and communication around brand tools and resources. Additionally, it will execute engaging brand partnerships to deliver cohesive and compelling storytelling across all channels. Strong project management skills capable of overseeing multiple initiatives, timelines, and teams to achieve project objectives. Expert in using Google Docs, Excel, and other software to streamline communication and feedback. Lead multimedia asset organization and accessibility Manage and maintain Tourism Calgarys digital asset library (e.g., CrowdRiff), ensuring assets are organized, tagged, licensed, and easily retrievable for campaigns and partner use. Provide training and ongoing support for users. Coordinate multimedia production projects Coordinate project management for photography, video, and creative asset development , ensuring smooth collaboration with stakeholders and on-time delivery of high-quality content. Manage and execute tourism activations Support the coordination, and implementation of high-impact tourism initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and seamless execution that maximizes audience engagement and aligns with Calgarys Blue Sky City brand. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in Brand Marketing & Storytelling 3+ years of experience in brand marketing, destination storytelling, or a related field, with a passion for showcasing Calgary as a dynamic, year-round destination. Strong Project Management Skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders, ensuring the seamless execution of tourism activations, multimedia production, and brand initiatives. Expertise in Multimedia & Digital Asset Management Experience overseeing photography, videography, and creative asset development, along with proficiency in digital asset management platforms (e.g., CrowdRiff) and Adobe Creative Cloud tools. Strong Visual Acumen Ability to create and assess visually compelling layouts, ensuring brand consistency and effective storytelling across various digital and print platforms. Exceptional Organizational & Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail to maintain workflows, digital libraries, and brand consistency.
