Job Description

The Materials Handler reports to the Stores Lead and is responsible for verifying quantity and conformance of materials, preparing records of materials shipped and bill of ladings as well as routing materials to appropriate destinations. The Materials handler will also be responsible to perform random parts audits for the customer while meeting quality, cost and time commitments. Other key responsibilities include: Receive, sort, store, issue, stage, move dispatch and ship materials, parts, tools, and assemblies throughout the facility Provide timely updates on significant issues and developments to the aircraft supervisor and stores supervisor Ensure all tasks are prioritized according to the return to service schedule Works to maintain a strong relationship with functional support groups to ensure all activity is compliant and conforms to the AMO and Customer Guidelines Keep detailed reports on all parts in relation to each project in the AMO Performs escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material Mitigates risks for short term shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery Actively participate in AAR Aircraft Services Windsors Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting safety hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand and promote the company safety policy Other duties as required or directed.
