CES/AWS is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for a Manufacturing client Location: Markham, ON Salary: $30/h (DOE) Shift: Day shift Temp-to-Hire Job Summary: We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee machine and building maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Execute and oversee preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion and documentation. Diagnose and resolve machine and facility maintenance issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain inventory and job tracking records within the maintenance system. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager regarding parts, repairs, and cost-effectiveness. Lead, train, and supervise maintenance personnel to meet safety and quality standards. Participate in continuous safety training and adhere to O.H.S.A. regulations. Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (further education is a plus). Certification as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO14001 standards and environmental safety aspects. Strong mechanical background with blueprint reading skills. Familiarity with basic electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Computer proficiency is an asset. Ability to travel as needed and conduct presentations. Work Environment: Hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing setting. Some travel may be required. Manual dexterity needed for computer use and troubleshooting machinery.
