The Opportunity: Senior Accountant (Fractional CFO Focus) Were looking for a driven Senior Accountant to play a pivotal role in our Fractional CFO service line. In this position, you will work closely with the Managing Partner on critical finance functions, focusing on supporting clientsparticularly publicly listed companieswith day-to-day financial operations, treasury management, and strategic financial planning. Youll also gain exposure to traditional public accounting engagements, from year-end compilations to corporate and personal tax return preparation. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals seeking a broader operational and advisory capacity while still refining core public accounting skills. What Youll Do While each day may look different, your responsibilities will include: Fractional CFO Services Oversee record-keeping and prepare quarterly financial statements for multiple publicly listed companies Manage treasury functions, including cash flow oversight and payables management Handle the administration of share-based compensation programs Prepare ad hoc financial reports, particularly for mining and other publicly listed issuers Advise clients on financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting to support growth and scaling initiatives Public Accounting Support Participate in compilation engagements for various SMEs and start-ups Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns Assist with the due diligence on mergers, acquisitions, and financings for growing businesses Provide management consulting and internal control reviews Collaborate with external auditors to guide clients through their year-end audits Team Leadership & Client Relationships Cultivate strong client relationships by delivering exceptional advisory and hands-on support Identify opportunities to implement new technologies and processes for improved efficiency and service delivery What You Bring Completion or near completion of the CPA-CA designation Three to five years of accounting experience, ideally public practice or a blend of public/private Demonstrated interest or experience in treasury functions, share-based compensation, and financial reporting for publicly listed entities Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal A self-starter mentality with a proven ability to manage competing priorities Impeccable attention to detail, analytical prowess, and commitment to continuous improvement An entrepreneurial spirit, eager to take on an advisory role and develop your own client relationships over time Join Leonard & Co. to combine the depth of public accounting expertise with the exciting, hands-on challenges of a Fractional CFO role.
