Day-to-Day Insight Global is looking for a Sous Chef to join our client in the Ottawa, ON area on a full-time permanent basis. This role will require you to work on-site 5-days per week working directly with the Chef de Cuisine and overseeing all kitchen operations. The successful candidate should possess 5-years'' experience working within a restaurant environment and preferably has professional training as a Sous Chef. Additionally, it is preferable for the successful candidate to have strong experience within French cooking technique, however, they could also have expertise in other areas such as master butchery or a background in pasta making. Within the role, you will be second in command to the CDC and be responsible for cooking/dish prep, supervising additional kitchen staff, supporting with the menu planning, overseeing quality control and training, inventory management and health and safety. With this role comes opportunity for growth as the successful candidate is ideally going to be the next Chef de Cuisine while the restaurant group continues it''s expansion with new locations and restaurants.
