Northern Hawks experienced management team has a track record of success and significant depth of experience in the Canadian Oil and Gas sector. The company currently owns and operates a thermal heavy oil project near Kerrobert, SK. Northern Hawk has a solid base of production and cashflow and plans to continue to grow both our production and our team over the next few years. What We Are Looking For Northern Hawk has an opportunity for a full-time Corporate Development Advisor based in the Calgary, AB office. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will have exposure to a broad variety of responsibilities, typical of a smaller growing organization, and have the opportunity to significantly impact the future of the company. We are looking for a candidate to support business development activities from opportunity identification and screening, to evaluation and transaction execution.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the corporate planning process, as well as financial modelling of the existing business and potential acquisitions. Primary Responsibilities: Maintaining the corporate financial model Coordinating the annual and 5-year corporate business plans Identifying and efficiently screening business development opportunities, and maintaining a live portfolio of prospects Managing business development activities: coordinating live projects, interfacing with counterparties, working with internal and external resources, and interfacing with investors Modelling asset and corporate acquisition scenarios and their impact on Northern Hawk Support capital structure work related to acquisition opportunities: debt and equity considerations Evaluating commercial opportunities and supporting broader initiatives as required Preparation of materials for the Board of Directors and investors Who We Are Looking For This individual will be expected to play a key role in the successful, ongoing operations of the Company, they should possess the education, experience and expertise to be successful in the role: 5+ years of demonstrated relevant experience Experience in financial modelling, including tax components Solid understanding of oil and gas economic evaluations and key parameters Experience in software tools to support corporate development e.g. ValNav, Excel, Geoscout, XI, Established background in finance, investment banking, transactions or related areas Technical acumen would be considered an asset Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines and an occasional commitment beyond normal working hours Attention to detail and strong time management and planning skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills What We Offer A safe, respectful, workplace.We value trust, open communications, and the sharing of ideas.
