Role Overview: Our Toronto office is currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst in our Information Technology Department, reporting to Manager of Information Technology Infrastructure. The Senior Infrastructure Analyst focuses on the support and maintenance of a complex network environment delivered through independent management, administration, implementation and recommendations that will contribute to the architecture and vision of new and/or existing infrastructure solutions. This role requires a team-oriented approach, the ability to work with people at all levels of responsibility within the firm and a willingness to accommodate a flexible work schedule and on-call responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing and maintaining documentation on system infrastructure, design and procedures. Designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Responding to the Firms monitoring and alerting solutions to maintain the reliability of devices, applications and services. Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, providing timely support to minimize downtime. Implementing and managing disaster recovery plans and backup solutions. Managing user accounts and assets and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy. Proactively managing infrastructure to ensure capacity, availability and stability are maintained as per firm business and technical requirements. Conducting preventative maintenance on systems, including testing and installing vendor provided upgrades, patches, etc. Advanced troubleshooting of infrastructure and available for call out and shift work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as requirements dictate. Supporting the Help Desk to resolve escalated issues as required. Participating and contributing to operating & capital budgeting to ensure capital is available for acquisition, maintenance, licensing and refreshment of infrastructure hardware and software. Leading and mentoring junior network and infrastructure analysts. The independent administration and maintenance of the operation of critical system infrastructure which may include: Windows desktop design, management and support. Experience with cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Azure/Office 365 platform. Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory. Experience with single sign-on (SSO) and authentication technologies Microsoft Windows Server. Proficiency is managing DNS, DHCP, GPO. Data Centre, physical server and storage infrastructure. Familiarity with storage solutions and SAN/NAS management. Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Data communication links for WAN and ISP. Internetworking switches and routers. Proficiency in managing and renewing digital certificates and CA servers. The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills: Related College Diploma or professional certification. 10 years IT working experience administering and supporting enterprise networks. Working knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN infrastructure and TCP/IP routing. Experience with Windows desktop design. Extensive Microsoft Windows Server knowledge Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, AD, GPO, etc.). Experience with Cisco routers and switches Working experience with Palo Alto firewalls, and VPN technologies Experience with remote access systems including 2-Factor Authentication Willingness to be accessible, adjust work schedule, and provide support outside of normal business hours (including evenings and weekends), as required. Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions an asset. Proven interpersonal, customer service and relationship-building skills that create effective working relationships with people at all levels within the Firm. Ability to communicate effectively in multiple mediums including writing and on the phone. Proven critical thinking and analytical / problem solving skills. Ability to balance changing priorities each day. Open to learning new processes and technologies. Present yourself professionally in internal and external meetings. Microsoft and Cisco certifications an asset. Law firm and multi-office experience an asset.
