Job Description

Status: Permanent, Full- time Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive + Benefits + Bonus The company seeks a project manager to assist with the deployment of design, permitting, construction and budgetary control of infrastructure and maintenance projects in the aviation/petroleum industry. Responsibilities: Development and issuance of tender packages for engineering, construction and site remediation Project budgetary control, planning and forecasting Assisting management and coordination of engineering consultants during the design process Planning, management and coordination of on-site construction activities Daily technical review, evaluation of schedule progress and preparation of daily construction field reports Management and coordination of on-site professionals and inspection programs Tracking of information exchange between contractors and consultants, including RFI''s, contractor submittals, drawing revisions Assisting with development and oversight of system commissioning plans and operational readiness Coordination and development of facility risk assessments as well as operability reviews and auditing Coordination of field activities requiring operating personnel including system commissioning Preparation of supporting material for work permits Liaison with technical departments of authorities having jurisdiction such as municipalities and airports Leading and facilitating project planning and construction meetings Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or related. Professional Engineer designation (Eng.) or Project Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred. 5 to 7 years of project management, construction or engineering experience, preferably with technical or construction site experience in the petroleum industry Demonstrated computer skills including Sharepoint, Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills Team and customer orientation with an emphasis on results, relationship management and team building. Proven ability to manage one or more large projects or a number of smaller projects simultaneously.
