Job Description: We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (Mining & Rock Mechanics) to join their team located in North Bay Ontario (Relocation assistance offered for Canadian Citizen). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in rock mechanics, with a strong background in geological or mining engineering. Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and implement geomechanical site investigations. Conduct rock mass classification and select geomechanical domains. Perform numerical modelling and analyses, including stability assessments for open pit slopes and/or underground excavations. Manage and coordinate projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. Travel domestically and internationally as required to meet client needs. Skills and Competencies: Strong technical competence in rock mechanics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop practical solutions to meet client needs. Strong project management and coordination abilities. Qualifications: Bachelor''s or graduate degree in Geological or Mining Engineering. Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO. Minimum of 5 years of experience in rock mechanics. Fluent communication skills in English. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate degree in rock mechanics. Experience in the consulting industry or at an operating mine.
