The Company Our client operates multiple clinics across Ontario. As a portfolio company of a private equity firm, the company has a growth strategy focused on acquiring additional practices and expanding revenue through efficient delivery of high-quality services. Position Overview The Vice President, Operations (VP Ops), reporting to the CEO, is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the companys clinical operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring seamless execution of business strategies. This executive will lead a team of Regional Directors, Clinic Managers and IT while working closely with the executive team. The VP Ops will be instrumental in enhancing patient volume, improving provider engagement, and refining operational processes to maximize profitability. This role requires a hands-on, commercially minded leader who excels at execution, process optimization, and financial management. The VP Ops must be adept at managing a profit-and-loss (P/L) statement, cutting through operational silos, and developing revenue-driving strategies. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence healthcare practitioners, drive accountability at the clinic level, and foster a high-performance culture among operational teams. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership and Execution Oversee the daily operations of multiple clinics across Ontario, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and patient satisfaction. Lead and develop a high-performing operations team. Optimize clinic performance by implementing standardized processes and best practices. Ensure seamless integration of new practice acquisitions, including onboarding and operational alignment. Financial and Revenue Growth Management Own the P/L, driving revenue growth through operational improvements and patient acquisition strategies. Implement a sales-oriented mindset across clinics, ensuring that managers and staff are focused on revenue generation. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement systems to track clinic performance. Create a daily sales dashboard for Clinic Managers to monitor key metrics and drive accountability. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the VP of Revenue & Marketing to ensure alignment between operational and marketing strategies. Collaborate with the call center team, which reports to the VP Ops, to enhance patient conversion rates. Partner with the Director of HR to develop training programs, enhance clinic leadership, and build operational excellence. Improve internal communication and alignment across departments to reduce siloed decision-making. Technology and Process Optimization Oversee the transition of EMR systems. Utilize the existing CRM to improve patient engagement and conversion. Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance operational decision-making and efficiency. Candidate Profile An operational leader with a commercial mindset. Required Experience and Skills Operational leadership experience in a commercial, high-growth healthcare, dental care, vet care or multi-location, consumer service business is desirable. Proven experience managing P/L and driving revenue growth. Track record of successfully optimizing operations, improving KPIs, and implementing measurement systems. Experience leading and developing regional teams and clinic managers. Expertise in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with sales and marketing teams. Leadership and Behavioral Competencies Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution. Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical skills. Ability to drive accountability and create buy-in across all levels of the organization. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Adept at navigating complex personalities and high-stakes medical environments. Comfortable interfacing with private equity investors and board members. Compensation and Work Environment Competitive base salary and bonus. Office location: Greater Toronto Area. Hybrid work environment: Minimum 2 days in-office with core collaboration hours Frequent clinic visits required. Regular interaction with board members and investors, including monthly financial meetings. There is a possibility for this role to begin on an interim basis.
